OLD WAYS WON’T OPEN NEW DOORS

I am a firm believer in the saying “old ways won’t open new doors”. As a group, we strive to grow. We look for new doors to open. Growth requires change. Change brings new life. Our group has grown and evolved a lot in the last few years. As many of you are aware, we recently changed our mission statement and added a vision. We also made a few changes to the constitution. The old version stated that board members should be parents of children with cancer. We felt that the potential of this group stretched way beyond parents. We all agreed that allowing adult childhood cancer survivors to join the board was something that we definitely wanted to explore.

We are super thrilled to announce the addition of our first childhood cancer survivor to the board! Sarah Vandale has accepted the position of social media coordinator. Sarah is a childhood leukemia survivor. Please join us in welcoming her to the group! We look forward to seeing her ideas come to life!
