CHILDHOOD CANCER SURVIVOR GRADUATE JANELLE!

“On December 20th, 2015 at 10 years of age, Janelle was diagnosed with High Risk Stage 3 Favorable Wilms Tumor LOH+. It was quite the Christmas – admitted on the 20th, surgery on the 24th, and Christmas Day in the PICU. By January 7th, Janelle started the first of 12 rounds of Radiation and 33 weeks of chemotherapy. She completed treatment September 2016 and has had been NED since then. Janelle graduated to the AfterCare Program in 2022.

Janelle graduated with Honors from St. Boniface Diocesan High School. She is applying to be an Air Traffic Controller. While she’s waiting for acceptance to Nav Canada, she will be attending the University of Manitoba working on a Business Degree from the Aspers School of Business.”
