BOOT DRIVE SUCCESS!

We met Henry Giesbrecht and his family when their 6 year old son was diagnosed with cancer. Kayden is now a happy and healthy 16 year old. Henry, a volunteer firefighter, says they’ve never forgotten the kindness shown to them by Candlelighters. This was the reason we were chosen for the Winkler Fire Department’s boot drive during the 2024 Harvest Festival parade, raising just over $8900!!

With there being so many amazing charities to choose from, we are always honoured when someone thinks of us. It’s especially touching when it’s one of our own families. They see the impact we make from the inside. They experience what we do first hand and see the importance of what we do.
