2024 CHILDHOOD CANCER SURVIVOR GRADUATE EMILY!

“In 2010, at the age of three, a large lump was found in Emily’s neck. Our sweet girl was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma and life as we knew it changed. She endured multiple surgeries, chemo, a stem cell transplant, radiation, and a clinical trial. After 4.5 years we finally heard the word we were waiting for – remission, Emily was in remission. This June, she will cross that stage to receive her diploma – something we once wondered if she would ever do. She will be starting at the University of Manitoba in the Fall, with the hopes of becoming a veterinarian. We couldn’t be happier!”
