Supporting families touched by childhood cancer

We strive to make a difference in the lives of families living with the reality of childhood cancer.  To help us, please consider making a donation.  We are a registered charity, and all monetary donations above $20 will receive a tax deductible receipt.  Donations can be made by E-Transfer to SUPPORT@MANITOBACANDLELIGHTERS.ORG (add your mailing address in the note section so we can contact you for a tax receipt), or by sending a cheque to

Every single penny donated goes directly toward the group.

Every member of the CCCSG executive are parent volunteers who have, or have had, a child with cancer.  It's a handful of people trying to raise a lot of money to continue with our mission.  

 

What do we do?  We supply parking passes on the children's cancer ward, so that parents don't need to worry about the additional cost of parking.  We arrange events throughout the year, including our family camp, where we host 25-30 families. We provide food gift cards for families on the ward, send out quarterly newsletters, provide newly diagnosed families with information packages and a HOPE blanket for their child, provide gift card scholarships to childhood cancer survivor high school graduates, send meals to the children's cancer ward, send meals to families whose child is palliative, and help with bereavement costs for families who have lost their child.
